You should receive a push notification in the following instances:
-When you've been selected (approved) to do a gig.
-When you get a message from a client.
-When your gig is reopened for correction.
-When your gig deadline is extended.
-When you have 1 hour left before your gig expires.
-When you've been removed from a gig.
-When your work has been approved.
If you are not receiving these notifications, please make sure that you have granted permission within your phone settings for Gigwalk to send you notifications, and then log out of the Gigwalk app and then log back in.

I continue to sign up for gigs then realize some time later that I was selected for the gig, but at that point it is already past due.. And then in the long run it seems that I am being penalized because there are less and less gigs to apply for. What can I do in this situation to make things correct and back as they seemed when I started..??
Hi Kacey! I'm going to edit the description to also mention that you should receive notifications when you have 1 hour left before expiration.
If you are not getting the notifications, then the first thing I would recommend is checking your settings to make sure that Gigwalk specifically has Notifications enabled. Another suggestion is that you could log out and log back in. When you log in, that's when your phone is registered for receiving notifications, so if that failed for some reason, this could initiate that process again.
Also, just so you know, you are NOT shown fewer gigs because of something like this. You would be less likely to be selected for a gig though, if someone else with a higher rating applied as well.
I have applied for one of the gigs Samsung it does not show up as my gig but I received a email I was in delete from the location it was overdue I am very confused and need help to understand if it doesn't show up as one of my gigs how am I overdue on doing the assignment
Same problem. Hard to do work if you delay accepting and then do not notify outsude of the app. I receive notifications of avail work, I apply and then nothing happens, or it eventually is accepted, but no way to know unless you randomly check notifucations withun the app EVERY DAY. Now getting applications denied not sure why as no explainarion or remedy is being supplied
You should receive a push notification as well as an email when you are assigned. Did you try logging out & back in to re-connect the push notification.
I was having the same problem accept my notifications weren't showing in app either or via email. I recently updated my phone and signed into the app and seen a red 3 next to the notification section under menu button(first time I have seen this). I was approved for a gig and two messages for available gigs that of course expired. Hopefully this means I will start receiving the notifications, and be able to finally complete a Gig,( been signed up for almost a month and have yet to have the opportunity to complete one ).
I had a gig that I just got notice of after I submitted a support ticket inquiring about the opportunity for different types of work in my area. It has expired and I received no notification from GigWalk about the opportunity. This is very frustrating. I do have a screenshot of the particular gig if needed.
