If you go to the Gig pin location and the business is not to be found there, you should do the following, unless the gig instructions tell you to do something different:
- If you know where the correct store location is, and it's very nearby, you may be able to go to the store and still complete the gig. (See NOTE below for instructions) But if it's more than 5 miles away (as the crow flies), then the app will not let you upload a photo. In that case, stay at the pin location and do the following:
-
In the first task take a picture at the gig pin location. Ideally, your picture will contain the address on the building, showing that a different business or residence is there instead. But even if you're just in the middle of a cornfield, then your picture will be geo-tagged and the client may be able to verify that you were where you were supposed to be.
- In the last task note the Gig where you are provided free space to include additional information. Try and include what you've found. What business was supposed to be at the gig pin location and what did you find there instead (another business? An abandoned storefront? Etc.)?
-
Tap the "submit your work" button. If you do not, then you will be removed by the system when your deadline has passed, even if the client hasn't read your message yet.
NOTE: If you know where the correct store location is and choose to work the Gig you must inform Gigwalk that the location was NOT at the marked Pin. Please do so by noting the last task where you are provided free space.
