When we approve gigs, we used to send the payment immediately. However, we have made an improvement that will bundle the gigs from within a chunk of time (12 hours I think) and send them all at once. This might result in you seeing an email "you've been paid!" before your payment has actually processed.  I plan to get them to change the wording of the email to make it clear that your gig has been approved and the payment is put in the queue to process within the day.

    Hope that helps!

It can take 12 hours or more sometimes. That's on PayPal, not this outfit. PayPal purposely holds onto money as long as possible regardless what the laws say. They've gotten so big they quit caring about "little things" like laws and customer service.

    That is absolutly not true.
I spoke directly to paypal. After 3 deposits gigwalk said were sent did not post for several days I contacted them. They saw NO deposits sent. And attempted to trace them with no luck. As I spoke to them I posted HERE and asked that those payments actually be sent as I was talking with paypal and knew they were not actually sent. I was on the phone with paypal for 2 hours. Less then 30 minutes after I posted here all.of a sudden the deposits showed up. I made several inquiries to gigwalk before calling paypal. It took me posting and stating I was talking to PayPal for those deposits to QUICKLY show up.

Paypal has stated absolutly that deposits you send will IMMEDIATLY post to paypal as soon as you send them.

This has nothing to do with "laws". It has to do with how paypal works and what gigwalk says.

If gigwalk says payment was sent there is ZERO reason the deposits should not be showing. There is no delay on PayPal end.

I suggest sending the transaction number in the email that states you sent it from now on as each transaction will have a transaction number.

If there is a hold on a payment the payment will show pending in PayPal. I've had holds before with my business account but never with my personal account. Usually holds will be for 500 or more unless there is suspicious activity on the account.

And I had 3 that I got an email saying approved and still not paid. Today got several approved and 6 hours later no deposit in Paypal. I will contact support directly and have it checked since I know they are still working on the app and the app should auto deposit once they approve the work.

Any Gigwalk staff that sees this please please have this fixed. 🙏 I drove 250 miles yesterday for my gigs to be completed. (I went on a crazy marathon lol but Christmas Eve shoppers are a nightmare!)

Thank you staff for approving on Christmas day. And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. 🙌😏

Well, that was a surprise. They combined all payments into 1 and sent it just now to my paypal. Check yours and see if you got paid. 😍 Make it rain money! Haha... Paid 13.00 to make 161.00. Maybe 15 in wear and tear on the car too but so worth it. Thank you gigwalk!

I got a little bit of it. But nothing close to what I made. They send to.me in trickles at best.

I am happy something posted on Christmas day though. That's pretty cool. Just wish they could take all the ones we do in one day and review them on the same day. I hate doing jobs all day and then out of 20 jobs only getting paid for one or two a day.

I am a consumer activist and social media pro.I have been writing articles about Paypal for over 15 years. Their original business model was to hold deposits for a few days beyond processing to collect the interest as a fee. They were one of the first online widespread payment service. They continue these practices to this day. though aren't very upfront about it. They often hold deposits for days or weeks with no explanation. Calls to customer service will be lengthy and often incomplete, hung up on, I've personally had Paypal agents tell me they were aware of a bug in their system which, for me most recently, resulted in them not posting a completed fairly large (for me) payment for 2 weeks.while I was left to explain to clients where their money was. I spent probably 20 hours, at least 15 on the phone in a weekand it did me no good.

That was only a recent example. I've always had hassles with paypal. Stay around them long and you will too. Just google paypal complaints sometime, there are literally millions of horror stories out there.

Bella Luna, can you be more specific? Where are you wanting us to change this?  In the FAQ here?

Well I think what she is saying is it would be nice if we knew when changes were made. The Faqs should say exactly what you told us. And like you agreed, the emails should not tell us we have been paid whe clearly we haven't been. It has people looking for what happened to their payment.

ALSO, and this is very important, when an email IS SENT stating our payment was sent we should be given a transaction number. On the rare occasions that a payment gets lost in the system paypal can trace it. But the FORST THING they asked me for was a transaction number.

Nikki, yes, where Brian posted about payments. It says the system will auto pay on the 16th day and that is not true. I have unreviewed gigs from 20+ days ago and 3 unpaid gigs that were reviewed 30ish days ago. If the rules change they should be updated and maybe flagged for us to see we need to read the update. Its discouraging to have so many changes and no notice. Especially for us gigwalker vets. ✌
