Candy isle audit pay
Ok, this has to be addressed and it needs done asap.
Gigwalk had put out these candy audits several times. The concept of the is not that hard. Snd honestly if it was just a matter of going down an isle and taking pictures the 6.50 would not be bad.
HOWEVER
We are asked to face the isle and make sure everything is pulled fw and facing fw. I gotta tell ya, this is a NIGHTMARE!
First of all if it were a few random places a little adjusting was needed that wouldn't be so big a deal. But when I am in walmart with 15 to 22 sections to straighten out... candy thrown all over. In the wrong place, top shelf all the way back I cant reach and I have to literally climb the shelf to get it up front and turned around ... 6.50 is NOT ok for 45 minutes to an hour just to clean the isle. In fact its downright insulting!
This is the job of WAL MART employees. And you want ME to do it for less the pay AND then take all the pics and answer questions?
Sorry. This is not ok.
I watched these shifts go up to 11.00 last month. That was "reasonable". This is not at all.
I get once in a while maybe a kroger can be done fast because they are smaller and the stores have a bit more pride. But my gosh and around the holidays it is 100 fold WORSE!
Either raise these or give an option for a bonus to be added for excessive work needed with proof pics.
This is ridiculous!
No more will I be doing these.
And then they sit waiting for review?
Naw. Anyone doing these for pennies is hurting themselves and everyone else in the long run.

I understand how you feel. Wal-Mart really needs a better way of managing their inventory in general because most stores are trashed. But I have found going in the morning between 4am-930am I can breeze through the cleaning process. If I don't know where it goes I give it to an employee. I don't waste time searching for its new home. I know they are tedious but doing enough of them you can get the straightening process down to 30 minutes. The key is go during stocking time because they clean the isle or at least not many customers there.

No. I disagree. We should not have to do and entire Isle of clean up when that is not our job.
And like I said around the holidays it is far worse!
We are paid to go in and take pictures and I can see some REASONABLE adjustments of a few items. But cleaning and organizing the whole isle for 6.50 is not in any way ok. By the time you factor in the gas and driving time plus the time it takes to do the gig you are not even making 3.00 an hour. That is just not acceptable.
Like I said I have seen these gigs go up to 11.00 a piece. Doing them at 6.50 sabatoges everyone who takes these gigs as they are more reluctant to pay what is reasonably expected.
At the very least there should be a bonus available for the ones that present with all that extra work. Cleaning, organizing and such is the job if the walmart employees NOT US.

Ever try toothbrush one? lol...Β

I did my first toothbrush audit yesterday and spent about 10 minutes bringing brushes forward but about half the hangers were empty so it would have taken about twice as long if they had been stocked. Plenty of customers got in my way but I had to wait for them to pass, even commenting how many options there were...π

We don't have the toothbrush ones here in tennessee

Something new maybe? Idk... It was a nightmare. The hooks the toothbrushes are on are bent upwards causing the toothbrushes to fall backwards. After 3 of those I said no more. π³π I'd take candy over toothbrushes.Β

I agree. I performed this gig at several different locations only to be told those pictures were not sufficient. I went back and took additional pictures and recieved an email notification stating my work was no approved aka no pay. Ridiculous standards for a tedious gig. #worst gig ever
